Joy began integrating Reiki into her healing work in 2001, earning her Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki I and Reiki II certifications under Reverend Andrea L. McMurtrie, Reiki Master. After reconnecting with her practice in 2023 through teacher Angelina Barbieri, Reiki Master, Joy completed Shoden Reiki I and Okuden Reiki II in 2024.

Joy dreamed of starting a Reiki Circle and reached out to her Reiki Master in the Fall of 2024. Energy Alchemy Healing Reiki Circle was created and Joy is honored to facilitate it with Angelina.

Incorporating Reiki into her sessions, workshops, and retreats has been a profound blessing. For Joy, Reiki is a gentle yet powerful tool for balance and renewal, offering peace and healing in a fast-paced world.

Sharing her love to help others restore of nervous system alchemy to unlock integrative healing through massage, energy healing, sound healing and yoga you can find her doing what she loves.

Angelina is a second-generation Reiki practitioner whose journey with Reiki began in 2009, when she first experienced the practice through her aunt, who studied under Doi Hiroshi in Panama City, Panama. 

Inspired by this experience, Angelina became a certified Reiki Master in Los Angeles in 2012. Since then, she has dedicated herself to helping others rediscover their inner bright light. She loves guiding people through Reiki sessions, intuitive card readings, and Reiki I & II training. Whether working with clients online or in-person, her goal is always to create a space of healing, hope, and self-discovery.

Alongside her Reiki practice, Angelina is also a devoted actor and mother of two. With a rich background in acting and modeling, her creative career has spanned several years, and she continues to actively pursue projects that allow her to express her passion for storytelling. 

Her work is a blend of creativity and healing, as she seeks out opportunities to inspire and uplift through both her artistic and spiritual pursuits. When she’s not in Los Angeles for work, you can find her navigating the whirlwind of motherhood with her family on the beautiful Central Coast of California.

The Energy Alchemy Reiki Circle is a sacred space for guided group meditation and healing. Rooted in the principles of Reiki—a spiritual energy that represents our true essence and inner brightness—this circle offers an opportunity to reconnect with the present moment and your innate potential for healing.

Through meditation, mantra, and hands-on practices, we explore the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit, uncovering the layers of worry, fear, and attachments that obscure our true light. As we release these blocks, we allow our brightness to shine, guiding us toward balance and transformation.

This circle is for receiving Reiki, practicing its techniques, and learning to give and heal as you activate your intuition. Together, we honor the five elements of Reiki, energy alchemy and self-discovery.

Frans Stiene is based in the Netherlands, he is one of the most renowned Reiki teachers in the world. His practical understanding of the Japanese influences on the system of Reiki has allowed students worldwide to connect deeply with this practice. Frans is the main teacher of the International House of Reiki which focuses solely on the system of Reiki as a spiritual and healing practice. He is the author of critically acclaimed books The Inner Heart of Reiki—Rediscovering Your True Self, Reiki Insights, and The Way of Reiki—The Inner Teachings of Mikao Usui. His books are in English, Dutch, German, French and hopefully soon more languages. Additionally, he co-authored The Reiki Sourcebook, The Japanese Art of Reiki, A-Z of Reiki Pocketbook, and Your Reiki Treatment. Frans has also lived in India – Himalaya for 2 years and in Australia, he now enjoys traveling the world to teach and have exciting adventures. Since 2012 Frans is training with Takeda Hakusai Ajar.

Shinpiden Reiki III North America 2026

Shinpiden is the Japanese word for ‘mystery teachings’. It is aimed at Level II practitioners or established Reiki Teachers who wish to continue their personal journey, a journey that is ongoing long after you complete the Shinpiden course. It is therefore not just about teaching and is even suitable for those who wish to simply develop their personal Reiki practice and occasionally teach those around them.

Pre-Requisites: Any Reiki II or existing Reiki Teacher/Master
Transition course, if required, is included in the course fee.

Self-empowerment is attained in Shinpiden through the direct experience of Reiki, of who you truly are. It is also the result of the confidence you will feel as a result of your thorough knowledge of the system of Reiki – how it works, what all the variations on Reiki actually are, where the system of Reiki stands in the world today, the Japanese shirusi (symbols) and kototama (mantras) and their connection to Japanese philosophies and spiritual traditions.

One of the major focuses of this course is to tap into the sense that you are, and always were, a great, bright light – this is achieved by working with the fourth symbol and mantra.

Frans Stiene has been teaching these courses for over 25 years world-wide and he is one of the most influential Reiki teachers and authors around.

For those who have never studied with IHReiki before it is expected that you undertake the online Transitioning to Shinpiden course in addition to your Shinpiden course. This extra course is provided free of charge when you book and pay for your Shinpiden course and will be made available at the Ki Campus.
